A farmer had a three-legged pig and his neighbor asked him why the pig had only three legs.
"Well, I'll tell you," the farmer replied. "one day I was ploughing my field and the tractor overturned and pinned me underneath. That pig ran for help. He saved my life."
"Oh, that's how he lost his leg?' the neighbor asked.
"No, one night my wife and I were sound asleep and the house caught on fire. That pig woke us up. He saved our lives"
"So, that's how he lost his leg?" the neighbor probed.
"No, that wasn't it." the farmer affirmed
Exasperated, the neighbor demanded.
"Then how did he lose his leg?"
The farmer replied. "When you have a pig that good, you don't eat him all at once."

 A medical breakthrough--"Vagina on a Chip"
Picture
So, we have another major medical development, scientist have now created the world's first ever "vagina on a chip"

News coming coming out of WebMD, on February, 9, 2023 is reporting that Harvard Wyss  Institute  for Biologically Inspired Engineering is successful in this creation, which could go a long way to help women who might have lost hope in dealing with some vaginal issues.

It is important to note that this is not the first "organ on chips" - tiny devices , the size of a flash drive- to be developed by the Harvard 's Wyss Institute  for Biologically Engineering. They were successful in creating 15 organ chips models, including chips that mimic the the lung, intestine, kidney, and bone marrow.

The Gates Foundation funded this research which grew out of a childhood disease called environmental enteric dysfunction, an intestinal disease most commonly found in low resource nations that is the second leading cause of death in children under 5. The Foundation turned it's attention to newborn health - in particular, the impact of bacterial vaginosis, an imbalance in the virginal's bacteria makeup. Bacterial vaginosis occurs in 1 out of 4 women worldwide and has been linked to premature birth as well as HIV, HPV persistence, and cervical cancer.

Short Story Pt 7

( Continued from last publication.)

Her fingers drummed on the counter. The rhythm was erratic. Her eyes darted across the room to where a patron was being served. Her piercing stare hit the barman. He composure became compromised. The counselor looked briefly to the heavens for some support. None was forthcoming. "Stuck In The Middle With You." by Steelers Wheel, blared from the music set. No one tinkered with the volume. A weird noise started to play in the barman's head. He struggled to complete serving the patrons. Three minutes and twenty-nine seconds of the song felt like an hour. His cheeks ballooned for a second. The song was finished.

The  barman's gait was unsteady, yet quick. He retreated to the room behind the bar. Meanwhile, his guest at the counter continued her drumming but had now added a whistle and rapid eye movement to her ensemble as she seemed to be entertaining an audience in the ceiling. She stopped briefly and attempted to repair her hairdo.

Her savior, or nemesis, emerged from his retreat. He smiled . She frowned. He called her name. She paused.
"Yeah, what?," she snapped.
"Oh, I noticed, you fixed your hair," he said with a smirk
"My hair is always in order," she coyly responded.
A  wistful smile shaped her face.
"So, ah, ah, are you going to contact Jack?" he cautiously asked.

She froze for a moment.
"He never answers, " she quietly replied.
Sensing to mood was more cordial now, he offered her some candies from small container on the counter.
"You know what,?" He did not blink.
" I think I'm just going to go home and get some rest," she murmured.
"That might be a good thing for you," he advised.
"You see, it's fruitless talking to you about anything."
He bowed his head and pretended as if  he were fixing something just below the counter.
She walked slowly out of the bar. The barman felt that he had failed her.

A tall slim, man came through the door. He wore no hair but his thinly lined moustache. The visitor was decked in a pair of blue jeans, loosely fitting gold colored raglan shirt. His brown sneakers lit up the floor. He looked to be 40ish. His eyes pointed to the counter. The barman welcomed him with a nod. The visitor felt relaxed.
"Hi, Sir, may I have a drink?"
"At your service, " the barman responded.
"Well, I'll have my favorite, brandy and a coke," he requested
"Sure!"
"Is there anything else you need?"
"No, that would be it for now."
The barman hurriedly fixed his customer's drink.
The guest sat on the barstool, took a sip and let out a sigh of relief.
"How is you day been going so far,?' the customer asked.
"Great!" he quickly responded.
"Ah, well, like sucks sometimes," complained the visitor.
"Yep," the barman curtly responded.
"Did I tell you my name?" asked the customer.
No, not really, responded the barman.
The visitor extended his hands, the barman reciprocated.
"I'm Jack," he said.
The barman. who infrequently gives his name to his customer, said, "I'm Dan"
"Nice meeting you Dan," Jack responded.
Dan paused for a while and thought about the visitor's name.

All About the Music

Many songs are composed with the theme of love or heartbreak. These tunes appeal to millions , regardless of past heartbreaks and other disappointments. Love as in having a strong feeling to be with and to hold someone special persists. Another teenager, will grow up and fall in love. Many "seniors" will  still be smitten even though they vow to never go down that road again. To explain the reasons, it's quite complex.
In all of these scenarios; some amorous, some frightful, and, some meaningful; songs are composed that can accurately fit each every play at the theatre. In this feature we'll look at a song which plays more on the sensual with a small appeal to as much permanency as is possible - or is it?  Whichever way you look at it, this song pack tons of "love."

The music in this song is skillfully injected to put the listener in a slow dance mood. Anything can follow during or after listening. That whistle is mesmerizing.

I Wanna Know by Joe

Yeah, oh yeah
Alright, oh, oh, oh

It's amazing how you knock me off my feet, hmm.
Every time you come around me I get
weak, oh yeah
Nobody ever made me feel this way, oh
You kiss my lips and then take my breath away
so I wanna to know

I want to know what turns you on
I'd like to (So I can be all that and more)
I'd like to to know (I'd like to know what make you cry)

So I can be the one who always makes you smile

Girl he never understood what you were worth hmm no.
And he never took the time to make it work.
(You deserve more loving, girl)
Baby, I'm the kind of man who shows concern, yes I do, oh
Anyway that I can please you let me learn
So I wanna know

I wanna know what turns you on

I wanna know(So I can be all that and more)
I'd like to know ( I'd like to know what makes you cry)
So (So I can be the one who always makes you smile)
Make you you smile, babe

Tell what I gotta to do to please you
Baby, anything you say I'll do
'Cause I only want to make you happy
From the bottom of my heart, it's  true

I wish that I could take a journey through
your mind, alright
And find emotions that you always try to hide, babe, oh
I do believe that there's a love you want to to share, oh, oh
I'll take good care of you, lady have no fear, oh
So I wanna know

I wanna know what turns you on
I wanna know(So I can be that and that and more)
And  I'd like to (I'd like to  know make you cry)
So I can be the one who always make you smile
Tell me what I gotta to please you
Baby, you say I'll do
"Cause I only want to make you happy
From the bottom of my heart, it's true...

Africans in Brazil

Surprising to many people that I've spoken to, they did not know that Brazil has the highest population of Africans outside of Africa. They are not often highlighted in news coming from the South American country which, by the way, is the largest on this continent. Brazil has 211million people with Africans making up 56 percent of the population.
The majority of Africans in Brazil came from Ghana, Nigeria, Guinea-Bissau, Benin, Angola, Republic of Congo, and Mozambique.
African-derived religions in Brazil include, most prominently, Candomblé and Umbanda, as well as Xango, Batuque, Cantimbo and Macumba. The  other groups include, 65 percent Catholics, 22 percent, Protestants , 8 percent irreligious, and 2 percent, Spiritist.

Below are some images of Africans in Brazil.
