His eyes widened. He quickly composed himself and remembered that he was just a barman. "You know what, you are just like all of them, you don't listen, you have no feelings, you have no understanding, you just don't care", she blurted. His focus was still on her, yet, he was staring into space. There was awkward silence. "Look, I'm sorry, I guess, I'll just have to continue to suffer, to be in pain, to be tortured, maybe just die", she moaned. "No ma'am, I mean Pam, help is always there". "Where!" she exclaimed. As if by divine intervention, Helen Reddy was on the music set with "I Am Woman" Pam listened. I am woman, hear me roar In numbers too big to ignore And I know too much to go back and pretend 'Cause I've heard it all before And I've been down there on the floor No one's ever gonna keep me down again. "May I be excused for a minute?" the barman hesitantly asked. "You are, Sir". she calmly replied. He allowed for the song to play to it's entirety. Pam wore a more relaxed expression. "I think I know what I'm going to do, "she muttered. "That's great!" the smiling barman replied.
