Shuuu! The kids are asleep now as they anticipate Santa's arrival tonight. I can see 8 year-old Bobby covering up with his blanket and one pillow over his head. His 10 year-old sister, Karen has just put up her stockings and has made her way to her room with excitement in her heart. Mom and dad turned off the fairy lights are are in bed.
Across the street from them is their 25 year-old neighbor who lives alone. She wants Santa to visit her as well. But she'll stay awake in eager anticipation because she has called him and given him a list for some very special presents.  You'll have to agree, she'll get all she's asked for. When Santa heard her, his heart palpitated. And he's going to hurry down that chimney tonight. Here is her list.

Santa Baby (made popular by Eartha Kitt)

Santa baby, just slip a sable under
the tree
For me
Been an awful good girl
Santa baby, so hurry down the
chimney tonight.

Santa baby, a '54 convertible too
Light blue
I'll wait up for you dear
Santa baby, so hurry down the
chimney tonight

Think of all the fun I've missed
Think of all the fellas that I haven't
kissed
Next year I could be just as good
If you'll check off my Christmas list

Santa baby, I want a yacht
And really that's not a lot
Been an angel all year
Santa baby, so hurry down the
chimney tonight

Santa honey, one little thing I really need
The deed
To a platinum mine
Santa baby, so hurry down the
chimney tonight

Santa cutie, and fill all my stockings
with a duplex
And checks
Sign your 'X on the line
Santa cutie, so hurry down the
chimney tonight

Come and trim my Christmas tree
With some decorations bought at
Tiffany
I really do believe in you
Let's see if you believe in me

Santa baby, forgot to mention one
little thing
A ring
I don't mean on the phone
Santa baby, so hurry down the
chimney tonight

Hurry down the chimney tonight
Hurry, tonight.

Editor's note.
This song was covered by a few artists but Eartha Kitt's verson stands out as the best. Saucy and believable.
