Autumn Gardening
It is important to know where, what, and plant during autumn. And the best time to plant is late September, early October but that depends on where you live.
There are a number of plants that can be planted in the fall season. these include; chrysanthemums, pansy, stonecrop, and aster. While these flowers can beautify your garden space there is a lot of work involved in their maintenance.
First of all there would be lots of raking, cleaning, and prepping of the soil. In fall you remove spent crops, loosen soil and mix in a 3" to 4" deep layer of compost . Then cover the bare soil with shredded leaves or straw. It is important to note that there are three types of soil; sand silt, and clay. You may want to add a high phosphate fertilizer with low nitrogen content to get the maximum result for you gardening.
