THE WORST CASE OF SUPER -GONORRHOEA
A man in the UK has caught the world's worst -ever case of super gonorrhea.
According to a report coming out of the BBC, March 28, 2018 the man has a regular partner in the UK but picked up the superbug after a sexual encounter in South East Asia.
Public Health authorities in the UK say that this is the first time the infection cannot be cured with first choice antibiotics. The man's treatment is a combination of azithromycin and ceftriaxone have failed to treat the disease.
Health officials are now trying to trace any other sexual partners of the man, in an attempt to contain the spread of the infection.
Discussions with the World Health Organisation and the European Centers for Disease control agrees this is the first in the world.
