Doctors are warning persons who eat the world's hottest chilli pepper could be in danger of having serious health issues.This warning came after a man in a contest to eat the hottest pepper had to be hospitalised.
The 34 year -old man was in the New York State competition when he ate one Carolina Reaper chilli and had to be hospitalised after experiencing "thunderclap" headaches. The strange thing is that the headaches came on in the next few days.
"Thunderclap" headaches are caused by the sudden tightening of the vessels that supply blood to the brain, a condition known as reversible cerebral vasoconstriction syndrome. Persons having this condition are advised to contact a doctor immediately. BBC HEALTH
