More Kids in the US diagnosed with autism.
A report coming out of HealthDay news -April 28, 2018, states that reported cases of autism in the United States continue to climb.
A worrying 1.7 % or one in 59 children are now believed to have autism spectrum disorder..This statistics reveals an estimated 1.5 % increase from 2016 according to data collected from the US Center for Disease Control and Prevention.
Blacks and Hispanic and being diagnosed more with the disease and are catching up with Whites . This phenomena is attributed to more effective outreach in minority communities, according to the report. And there is an increased effort to have all children screened for autism.
Autism is a development disorder characterized by repetitive behavior and challenges with social skills and communication.
