Today we feature some old time remedies.

*Sore Throat

Gargle with salt water. It may help remove some of the pain and irritation. This is the advice of Dr. Dan McGee og Helen DeVos Children's Hospital. "But don't overdo it - one teaspoon of salt in eight ounces of water shouild do it," he added. Dr. McGee also advises that the solution should not be swallowed.

*Nausea

Ginger has been used for hundreds of years for it's medicinal properties, including helping to alleviate nausea, says dietiian Erin Pallinski- Wade . "It may also prompt the body to release enzymes that help break down food," she added.

*Eye Bags

Tea has tons of bebefits for both inside and outside your body. According to Dr. Purvisha Patel, MD ,"The caffeine in tea bags helps vasoconstrictio, or shrinking of the blood vessels, around the eye, leading to less puffiness or swelling skin. Wring out the wet tea bags, place in a fridge for a bit, and then put over eyes.

*Constipation

When you just can't go, try prunes. " A high fiber diet , along with adequate fluid, can be effective in helping to alleviate constipation," remarked  Dr. Palinski-Wade.  Prunes are an all natural source of fiber.
