What does a student wishing to pay for his college tuition without his parents' help do? Take any odd jobs.
Seven years ago Darrell Pinkerton was a freshman in college majoring in Psychology and Family Development-with a minor in Mathematics. So, he moved grass, worked in sales and other trades to pay for his education. But, like so many budding entrepreneurs he felt the itch to work on his own. Ironically psychology amd child development were far removed from his mind..
While trying to make ends meet, he stumbled upon a gold mine. A friend suggested that he joined him as a helper at a screen printing company. The entreprenuerial instinct became alive. Darrell observred and absorbed all the intricacies of the business. He was now a screen printer- at least in his mind at that time.
Perhaps, if we look at Darrell's upbringing, we might get a clue as the direction he has chosen. Both his parents were in business most of their lives. His father was into real estate, while his mother started a few businesses , eventually selling them while she explored other ideas.
Our special personality for the week is the owner of TOTAL AD GRAPHICS, located in Wylie industrial area. He is kept busy every day and credits his beautiful wife and the love of his three children as his source of inspiration. In fact his wife is very much with him handling the paperwork of his business.
The little spare time Darrell his is used to listening to country music and being with his family. Rushline wishes Darrell all the best for the future.
