The People of Japan
Japan is an island country in East Asia. It's on the northwest of the Pacific Ocean. On it's west is the Sea of Japan extending from the Sea of Okhotsk on the north towards the East China Sea, Philippines Sea and Tiwan to the north.
This country has the reputation of having the world's oldest people. It's 126 million citizens are comprised of 98% Japanese where more than a quarter of its population are over the age of 65. Life expectancy is 84.8 years.
The younger population are very much visible as they are involved in every aspect of Japanese life. In spite of its rich cultural heritage, there is a strong western influence with many young Japanese getting involved with western fashion and sports.
