"After listening to that song, I've got a brilliant idea"
The barman listened intently, his lips now poised as he fought to restrain himself from making a comment.
"What's it you were about to say?" she read him well.
"Oh no, I was listening to you"
"Are you sure, or you wanted to tell me something?'
" Not at all, I ah, ah, wanted, ah, to ah, hear what your ah, idea was."
"Which idea?" she blurted
Well, you said you have an idea of what to ah, do now, so I ah, wanted to hear it,"
"Oh that, she said calmly."
"Yep!" he feigned a smile
" I going to leave Jack". she exclaimed
" That's great"- he erred
Oh, so, you want me to leave my sweet baby", she shot him down.
"Oh no, no, not at all, no way"
"So what do you want me to do?" she asked.
"Love him and care for him and stay forever"
"You're a creep".
His eyes bulged. His heart palpitated.
"Just excuse me for a minute," he begged
"You're not going anywhere ", she ordered.
He swallowed some saliva. His Adam's apple went into full gear.
There was silence.
"Let me make this clear to you Mr. Barman, there's nobody in this world could make me leave Jack"
" You got it?".
"Yes, I know", he mumbled
"What, do you know?"
He kept his mouth shut.
She left the bar and made her way to the restroom.
A hot pee welled up inside him .He rushed to the restroom for staff only.
When he emerged from the back room, she was already present. He prayed for a customer's order.
"Back to you Mr. Sir", she remarked. Her brows now furrowed.
"Oh, hi". He pretended to forget their last encounter.
"Hi What? she interrupted.
"No, I was just greeting you the way I do every customer", he replied
"Well, I'm not every customer", she warned
"Oh no, you're special", he flattered.
"Barman, can you fill another for me", bellowed a voice in the far corner
"Yes, I'm coming", he happily responded
His guest at the counter, looked up to the heavens. She grit her teeth, shifted he stance and sighed.
