Short Story
Her stare was piercing. Her lips were plump.  Her bosom was curvaceous. Her hips were generous as her red, knee-length silk dress hugged her body.  Her posterior was in full bloom, and played a tantalizing rhythm with her every step. She looked to be about 5ft. 8.The red stilettos were the epitome of sensuality. They evoked that lust in a man as her matching colored toenail polish winked at you. Her fingernails were the perfect manicure. with that glitter that sparkled and twinkled, and, flamed, and bordered on vanity.
He sat alone at a table in the coffee shop as she looked around for a place to sit. His beckoning smile attracted her. She asked if it was cool with him for her to join him. He quickly consented . She ordered a cappuccino. Her  right hand stretched across the table to him. She said her name was Abbey. He said his was Jim.   The chatted for about 45 minutes, she said she was 28, and he replied 30. They  exchanged phone numbers, and went their separate ways.
As soon as he got into his car, he called his buddy to share the great news about meeting someone special.  His friend listened for about 30 minutes and then interrupted him with the question, "What about who she is inside?" There was silence on both ends. His friend broke the silence by telling his bewitched buddy that all he described to him were the external persona that she displayed. He further questioned whether those qualities were the most important things for him. "Are you just about a short term fling or more about building a partnership with substance?', the question continued. He remained silent. "I'm sorry to disappoint you buddy, did you ever think that it's her past trauma that she is disguising in those external displays?" "Maybe she hasn't healed from them."  "I'll call you back later," responded the smitten lover.
When she got home, she also called her best friend to report her find. "He's a gem of a man. He knows what he wants. He's so cute. Oh, I wish more men were like him." Her friend listened for a while and promised to call her back. She was angry and thought her friend was jealous. She promised never to speak to her again. She tossed her phone on the bed.
She picked up her phone again and called her new friend. She waited for 15 minutes but he never answered. She consoled herself that he was probably in the bath or something. She was certain that when he saw her number he would immediately respond. He never did. She fumed. She kicked the wall. She broke down and cried.

This week we do our final feature on the O'Jays - a vocal group that has turned out some of the sweetest songs in pop and R&B for a number of decades.
This week's song is "Sunshine" released in 1972 and peaked at number 3 on the Billboard Hot Soul  singles chart and number 18 on the Billboard Hot 100
Sunshine

You're the sweetest thing I know
You dim the rainbow's glow
There's no power on this earth
to separate us, baby

'Cause you are my sunshine
And you are, you are mine , all mine, yeah
( You are mine, all mine)

When it rains on my parade
You were there to lighten the way
You're rare as a rose in winter
You're more, more than I deserve

'Cause you are , you are
(You are my sunshine)
You brighten up my darkest day yeah, you
(You are mine , all mine)
You are mine, all mine , all mine, all mine, all mine, all mine
Baby's it's you

Words like, darling, sweetheart, forever
Girl it's you I'll always adore
They only say, I love you
But you mean so much more

'Cause you are, you are, you are, you are
(You are my sunshine)
You're my sunshine, my sunshine...

The country now called England was first inhabited by modern humans during the Upper Paleolithic. This name was derived from the Angles, a Germanic tribe who settled during the 5th and 6th centuries. In the 10th century, England became a unified country and has had a significant impact on the wider world since the Age of Discovery which began during the 15th century. The Kingdom of England became cemented when it merged with Wales in 1535 and Scotland in 1707.
It is in England where the English language originated and the English legal system which has influenced the common law system in many countries. Also the birth of the Anglican church and the  Industrial Revolution. This country has had a glorious history of colonising several countries albeit of far greater size and in many cases diverse cultures. The British Empire has spread its influence on every continent. The royal family still wield strong influences in many countries today even though quite a number are now independent.
England's population numbers about 57.1 million in this 51,325 square mile territory. English is the main language with Cornish spoken in the regional areas. About 75% of English residents identify as White and over 51% calling themselves Christian.
The economy of England is the largest part of the UK economy. It is the leader in chemical and pharmaceutical sectors and in key technical industries, particularly in aerospace, the arms industry an in the software industry. London, the capital and largest city, is home to the London Stock Exchange-- the largest in Europe. The GDP of England stands at 1.9 trillion British pounds.

Myths and Facts About Managing High Cholesterol
Myth
# 1: All Cholesterol Is Bad
Picture
Fact: Your body needs some cholesterol to stay healthy, but you can have too much. Your total cholesterol number is the sum of a few types, mostly LDL or low-density lipoprotein cholesterol, and HDL or high density lipoprotein cholesterol. Problems happen when you have too much LDL, it's the one most likely to clog your arteries. HDL is thought of as the "good", cholesterol as it can sweep the LDL away.

Myth # 2 : High-Cholesterol Food Are To Blame
Picture
Fact : The American Heart Association says to get less than 300 milligrams of cholesterol from food, but it turns that saturated fat are the bigger problem. Red meat, butter, and full-fat dairy are the common sources.
What about eggs? One large egg has 186 milligrams of cholesterol and just 1.6 grams of saturated fat, or 8% of daily cap, so you can enjoy them in moderation.

Myth #3: A No-Fat Diet is the Best Diet
Picture
Fact: When it comes to fat, i;s not all or nothing - your body needs fat, but it should be the right kind. The top choice should be unsaturated fats, which can be polyunsaturated, like walnuts, sunflower seeds, flaxseeds, and fatty fish or monounsaturated fats like, olive oil and avocado. Make the switch to help lower your high LDL and boost your heart health.

Myth # 4: You Can Eat What You Want if You're Taking Cholesterol Meds
Picture
Fact: It takes a few steps to control cholesterol and prevent its complications. like heart disease and stroke. Medication is just one of them. You also want to follow a heart -healthy diet that includes fruits, vegetables and whole grains rich in fiber, plus foods with unsaturated fats like fatty fish, nuts, seeds, and olive oil.

Myth# 5: Thin People Can't Have High Cholesterol

Picture
Fact: High cholesterol can happen to anyone. Risk factors include not having enough exercise, a low-quality diet and, inherited conditions like familial and hypocholesterolemia. Though high cholesterol is more common among who are overweight or obese,  being just a few pounds over your ideal weight can increase your risk.

Myth # 6: Only People Over 35 Need To Be Tested.
Picture
Fact: Your cholesterol should be checked every 5 years from childhood  to middle age. Men ages 45-65 and women ages 55-65 should have it checked every 1-2 years. After 65, make it yearly. If you have high cholesterol you may need more frequent testing to make sure your meds and lifestyle changes are working. If your cholesterol has never been checked, ask your doctor about it- don't wait for them to bring it up.

Myth  # 7. Only Adults Can Have High Cholesterol

Picture
Fact: Current stats show that 7% of kids between the ages of 6 and 19 have high cholesterol. Their risk factors are the same as for adults: an unhealthy diet, unhealthy weight, and a family history of high cholesterol and heart disease. Children with any of these risk factors should have their cholesterol checked as early as age 2.

Myth # 8: High Cholesterol Affects Mostly Men

Picture
Fact: Before menopause, women may have some protection from high cholesterol, thanks to estrogen, but even young women can have worrisome cholesterol levels. After menopause, you may see a change in your cholesterol level even if, this was never a problem. Though heart disease usually happen in life later in women than men, it is the leading cause of death for women. Cholesterol control is key to a healthy heart.

Myth # 9: High HDL Can Fix High LDL

Picture
Fact: A high HDL is a good thing but it can't make up for high LDL or high  total cholesterol. Also, scientist recently discovered that there are different types of HDL, and not all of them lower your overall risk. There are new ways to measure LDL that are more accurate and that don't require fasting in advance.

Myth # 10: It All Comes Down To Diet

Picture
Diet isn't the only lifestyle factor that needs your attention. Other things can also help you manage your cholesterol. If you're a smoker, quit to help to raise your good HDL cholesterol.  Exercise also has this benefit- aim for 30 minutes on most days of the week.  Also lose weight if you carry extra pounds.

A soldier runs up to a nun
Out of breath he asked,  "Please may I hide under your skirt, I'll explain later.
The nun agreed
A moment later two military police ran up and asked:
"Sister, have you seen a soldier?"
The nun replied "He went that way ."
After the military police ran off, the soldier crawled out  from under her skirt and said,  "I can't thank you enough, Sister. You see I don't want to go to Ukraine."
The nun said,"I understand completely"
The soldier added, "I hope I don't sound rude, but you have a great pair of legs."
The nun replied, " If you had looked a little higher, you would have seen a pair of nuts dangling, too. I don't want to go to Ukraine too"
