So we're just two weeks away from the big day. "Ooh wee, I'm getting nervous," say some. This is going to be their first Valentine experience since they have now grown up. That's okay, many of us have had cold feet when the day arrived and we weren't sure how to operate in the presence of our first love. You'll get over it. But there will still be some who have had a many Valentine experiences, and haven't found that special someone as yet. The good news is you're in a big company. So, get used to it. Guess what? Some people are going to be singing,"Never Had A Love Like This Before." Others would be singing, "I'm Just A Lonely Boy" Okay, so much for uncertainties. Two weeks could be enough for love to knock on your door. You can never tell.

All About the Music

For a group that was formed in the 1970s and produced 15 studio albums along with 39 singles spanning three decades , there isn't much more to the imagination of the impact they made on the pop music arena. The Commodores topped the Billboard charts twice with their hit singles "Three Times A Lady", and "Still", both ballads led by their then savvy lead singer, Lionel Richie. In the R&B category this group was at the top of the charts seven times.
Apart from the rich vocals which included tight harmonies, the musical arrangements were top of the charts. The bass player always seemed to hold a tight and muddy sound that sends a shiver through you body. the keyboard also lit up the atmosphere with sweet chords. the drummer added to the rhythmic sound. And everyone else blended well. What a delight. In this issue we'll feature one of their many great songs.

January 17 seemed to have passed you quietly, Mr. James Earl Jones. Yes, we understand. You've been around for 93 years. And your sterling performances on stage and in movies are forever etched in our minds. That million dollar smile that has warmed many hearts. The voice on "Lion King", and on many ads was head on your special day.

Seychelles
Officially the Republic of Seychelles is an island country and archipelago of 115 islands in the Indian Ocean. This country is considered one of the smaller territories in the world by area, measuring just 176 square miles, and a population of around 1060,000 residents. It's the smallest country in Africa. Other nearby territories include: Camaros, Madagascar, Mauritius, and the French overseas departments of Mayotte and Réunion to the south; and Maldives and the Chagos archipelago, administered by the British.
Victoria, the capital, is the largest city in Seychelles and is only 7.8 square miles and is situated on the northeastern side of the Mah'e islands, east of mainland Africa. This is the archipelago main island. The capital was originally settled by French colonists in 1788 after they claimed the island and carried a French name. This was later changed in 1841 to Victoria when the British renamed the island after Queen Victoria.
There are three official languages spoken in the Seychelles: English, French and Seychellois Creole. Christianity is the main religion observed in this country, with 94.7% identified as members of this group. This is followed by, Hinduism, 2.4% and no religion the same number. Islam make up 0.9% and others 0.5%.
Tourism is an important sector of the Seychelles economy. Its principal exports are: vanilla, coconuts, coconut oil, fish, and guano. Its current GDP stands at 2.085 billion USD.

Gastric Cancer

What Is Gastric Cancer?
It's when healthy cells in your stomach change and start to grow out of control. It tends to get slowly worse over many years. It can start in any part of your stomach and can spread to other areas of your body including, your liver, liver, and bones.

Adenocarcinoma

This is the most common type of gastric cancer, making up as many as 95% of the cases. It starts in the tissue of your stomach lining, in the cells that make mucus and other fluids.

Other Types.

Less common types of gastric cancer include ones that start in the cells of your digestive tract --carcinoid tumors and gastric sarcoma-- and lymphomas which are linked to part of your immune system called lymph nodes.

Who Gets Gastric Cancer?

Around 28,000 people get it each year in the US -- about 60% of the people diagnosed with it are over 65. Men are more likely to get it than women. It was the leading cause of cancer death in the US. until the 1930s, but now it's the 14th most type of cancer. Researchers think it may have become less common after refrigerators made it much easier to store fruits and vegetables, and people began eating fewer smoked and salted foods.

Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori)

This is a kind of bacteria that causes ulcers and inflammation in your stomach, and is one of the main causes of gastric cancer. There are different strains, some of which have a higher risk of cancer. Your doctor can test to see if you have this bacteria. H. Pylori can be treated with antibiotics, which may be another this cancer is less common now than in the 1930s.
The only way to know if you have the bacteria is with a test. If you have a parent, sibling, or a child who's been diagnosed with gastric cancer, you should get tested.

Medical History

You have a higher chance of getting gastric cancer if someone in your family has had it or you've had stomach surgery. A few medical conditions can also raise your chances: pernicious anemia ( when you're very low on red blood cells because you need more B12 ), familial adenomatous polyposis ( when you have polyps in areas like your stomach and colon), and achlorhydria ( when you don't have enough of a certain acid in your digestive fluid).

Lifestyle Matters.

Things you do everyday can affect your chances of getting gastric cancer. Eating a lot of smoked foods, salted fish and meat, and pickled vegetables, can boost your risk, along with not getting enough fruit and vegetables. You also might be more likely to get it if you smoke , drink a lot of alcohol or are very overweight.

Endoscopy

The doctor will probably start with this test. They'll send a tiny camera through a tube down your throat to look into your stomach. If anything doesn't look right they'll take a tiny piece of tissue -- called a biopsy and send it to a lab, where they'll look for cancer cells in the sample under the microscope.

Surgery

Your treatment depends on where your cancer is, how far it has advanced, and your overall health. In most cases, surgery to takes out the tumor is the first step. Your doctor might also remove parts of your stomach or take lymph nodes from other parts of your body to look for signs that the cancer has spread.

We continue with some more gardening tips which you can employ to enhance your home and health.

1. The Social Front Yard

As fellow human beings we need connections. It would be a good thing is you can arrange your porch where you can sit outside and interact with your friends and neighbors.

2. Make Your Garden Lush and Colorful

Think about colorful outdoor spaces. Plant tall trees, especially big-leafed tropical trees. You can use colorful containers. Also you can hang ferns everywhere, and chose plants with big, bold flowers.

3. Restore The Natural World

Plant trees that benefit pollination or the birds.
One report last year stated that more than 67 million US households bought at least one plant because it benefitted pollination or birds.
A pollinator is anything that helps transport pollen from one flower to another. This can include many types of insects: butterflies, moth, beetles, bees, flies, and wasps. Small animals such as birds, bats , and rodents can also contribute.

4. Plant Some Veggies

Yep, especially if you're cramped for space in your yard. A good trick would be to use edible containers. In that way you save money, eat healthier, consume local foods, and shrink your carbon footprint.

5. Gardening For Wellness

These are gardens that provide respite and bolster our internal healing mechanisms. Healing does not only take place in the walls of hospitals and clinics, but a garden outside of our home can add to the healing process. Plants like roses, restore hydrangeas. Many medical facilities are growing and tending these plants because of their therapeutic value.
