Santa was actually a saint - sort of.
Born in 270, Saint Nicholas was the Bishop of Myra.
He was an anonymous giver, handing out gifts and treats to children.
He didn't always have a reindeer.
The reindeer was only introduced in "Twas the Night Before Christmas." Originally, "The Night Before Christmas", was a poem written in 1822.
It was the first that detailed the man himself, among those details, he was said to ride a sleigh led by reindeer.

The story of Rudolph the Red - Nosed Reindeer is quite a poignant one. The song was written to bring comfort to child whose mother was dying from cancer.
Bob May was depressed and broken-hearted as he stared out his window into the chilling December night. His four year-old daughter, Barbara sat on his lap, sobbing. Bob's wife, Evlyn, and Barbara's mother was stricken with cancer. Barbara couldn't understand why her mom could never come home. Bob was inconsolable but sought a way to comfort his daughter whose mother unfortunately died two days before Christmas. The father struggled to give hope to his child for whom he couldn't even afford a story book for Christmas. So, he made one for his her. He created a character . It was an animal story about a misfit red-nosed reindeer named Rudolph which he gave to little Barbara to bring her comfort and hope. He read the story numerous times to little Barbara
The general manager of Montgomery Ward caught wind of the story and offered Bob a deal. His story was printed and handed to children who visited Santa Claus in Wards store.
Bob's brother -in-law, Johnny Marks made a song adaption to the story.
After its released in 1949,  it's  popularity is only second to "White Christmas", which is the top selling Christmas song.

"Ooh, wee."
"What's wrong, Tommy?" his mom asked as she took out the decorations for the Christmas tree. The eight year-old was vigorously rubbing his has palms in glee as he watched his mother pulled out some old Christmas decorations and the new lights she bought today at the store.
"Mommy are we going to have a merry, merry, Christmas, like last year?"
"Ah, well, kinda, but not with all the fun you had last year."
"Why mom, have I not been a good boy this year?"
"Oh you certainly did. You helped me to water the garden, you, kept your room tidy, you did your school work well, you were just so sweet."
"Then what's wrong mom, isn't Santa going to come to our house this year?" His mother was silent for a while as she thought about the best way to explain to Tommy why this Christmas could be a little different.
"Well grandpa",she muttered, her expression seemed sad .
"What about grandpa mom?" he cried.
"He just might not be here this Christmas", she replied. She wrapped her arms around little Tommy's shoulder and said, "Grandpa is ill at the moment and I'm not sure he would come by this Christmas as he always has." Tears welled in Tommy's eyes. "But can't he get well before Christmas,  mom?" he asked.
"That's possible Tommy", she said. Tommy dried his eyes, looked up to the ceiling and shouted,
"Grandpa you'll get better and you'd be here so that we all can have a merry, merry, Christmas. His mom was surprised with his expressions. She, herself was beginning to feel hopeful of grandpa being with them for Christmas.
"You know what mom?" Tommy said, Grandpa will be home with us for Christmas. You just don't worry."

In keeping with  all the excitement for the season and anticipation of the big day. And it is the only season so many songs are dedicated to, we'll have another Christmas favorite. Well, it has been hitting the charts at number one since it's release 1994,only to be briefly toppled by  "Rocking Around the Christmas" originally released in 1958. This song was sung by then 13-year-old, Brenda Lee. Re-released this year.
Enough of the preamble, I think most of us know that the selection we're talking about is, yess..."All I Want for Christmas Is You", by Mariah Carey.

I don't want a lot for Christmas
There is just one thing I need
I don't care about the presents
Underneath the Christmas tree

I just want you for my own
More than you could ever know
Make my wish come true
All I want for Christmas
Is You, yeah

I don't want a lot for Christmas
There is just one thing I need
(And I) don't care about the presents
Underneath the Christmas tree

I don't need to hang my stocking
There upon the fireplace
Santa Claus won't make me happy
With a toy on Christmas day

I just want you for my own
More than you could ever know
Make my wish come true
All I want for Christmas is you

Oh I won't as for much this Christmas
I won't even wish for snow
(And I) just gonna keep on waiting
Underneath the mistletoe

I won't make a list and send it
To the North Pole for Saint Nick
(I) I won't even stay awake to
Hear those magic reindeer click

'Cause I just want you here tonight
Holding me so tight
What more can I do?
Oh, baby, all I want for Christmas is you
You, baby

Oh all the lights are shining
So brightly everywhere ( so brightly baby)
And the sound of children's laughter
Fills the air

And everyone is singing
I hear those sleigh bells ringing

Santa, won't you bring me the one I really need?
Won't you, please, bring my baby to me?

Oh, I don' want a lot for Christmas
This is all I'm asking for
I just want to see my baby
Standing right  outside my door

Oh, I just want you for my own
More than you could ever know
Make my wish come true
Oh baby, all I want for Christmas
Is you (you baby)

All I want for Christmas is you, baby
All I want for Christmas is you, baby
All I want for Christmas is you, baby
All I want for Christmas is you, baby

Multiple Myeloma Diet

Like most diseases, a change of diet can be a good contributory factor to the healing process.
As we look at multiple myeloma - a cancer that forms in the white blood cell, called the plasma cell.
Healthy plasma cells help fight infections by making proteins called antibodies which attack germs. In multi myeloma, cancer plasma cells build up in the bone marrow and crowd out healthy blood cells.
Here are some recommendations of food change for sufferers with multi myeloma:
*Greens.
Picture
Fruits and vegetables are unrivaled champions when it comes to healthy eating.

*Fiber

Picture
Picture
If you have constipation from chemotherapy, you may want to boost the fiber in your diet. It helps to break down the food and clear out the bowels. Water and prune juice will also keep things moving.

 * Bland foods
On the other hand if you are dealing with diarrheal, your doctor may have you eat a low fiber diet known as the BRAT diet :
Banana
Rice
Applesauce
Toast.
You may also want to drink broth and water to stay hydrated.

*Iron
The cancer cells that build up in your bone marrow may crowd out your healthy blood cells. This can cause a shortage of red blood cells, called anemia. If this happens you may need to eat more iron-rich foods, like:
Lean meats
Beans
Dark leafy greens

* Vitamins and Minerals

Your doctor or dietician may suggest that you take a daily supplement to make sure you get enough nutrients to stay healthy.
Theses may include:
Iron
Vitamin D
Fish oil
Folate

What to Avoid:
Raw meat
Runny eggs
Unpasteurized drinks
Sushi
Unwashed fruits and vegetables

You might want to use some reusable greenhouse trays as the season is fast changing. Some ways to do so are  to have an unheated greenhouse which can be used to grow greens during the winter. Start warm season annuals, propagate landscape perennials, and shelter-frost tender plants. Besides greens like  spinach and lettuce you can grow cold-tolerant veggies such as cabbage and broccoli.
Example of some trays.

 Microgreen trays.
